Default cutout vs. 14" magnaflow vs. 18" magnaflow

Has anyone tried all 3?

I'm considering QTP cut-out

Which one is...
-tolerable drone on freeway (most of my driving)
-loud on the gas around town
-deep sounding
-makes it "sound like a truck"

All cats on truck (CA has emissions check)...5.4L V8 bi-fuel (gas/natural gas)...stock tailpipe

In the past I've done:
-18" magnaflow - no drone! but not much louder than stock...pretty mellow IMHO
-14" magnaflow - a little louder than 18", not that loud at all
-flowmaster super 10 - a little louder than 14" magnaflow

Considering how quiet the flowmaster super 10 was with the factory tailpipe, I'm considering a cutout w' a turn down tip - loud when I want it, quiet when I'm commuting. Turn down tip will echo off the ground for that deep "truck" sound.

Ive cut out the muffler all together and ran duel 3in. exhaust in my last 10th gen. sounds good. I will say there is a little bit of growl going down the interstate, but sounds great when you step on it. the 4 cats help muffle enough of the noise so you can have a conversation, so if you have tried a few mufflers and werent happy, then id probably just say cut it out and have rear exit tip to help cut back on the noise in the cab. Really does sound great, but again, you do sacrifice some of the quietness of the cab, but its certainly thee on a cold start and when you step on it. ebay sells a exhaust y pipe if you are handy with a welder, it makes it a little easier if you want to run dual exit pipes.

dang...that's what I thought

the cats muffle a lot...so I was thinking full muffler delete with dual tailpipes in the back
