Default code P0352

2000 Ford F150, 5.4L engine.....

My truck is missing terribly......When I had the codes checked last week it read cyclinders 3 and 4 misfire.....Changed the coils and plugs...

Truck is still missing and now the code says P0352 "the PCM has determinded that a malfunction exists in the primary or secondary electrical circuits for ignition coil B"....

HUH?.....

Could someone please explain?
Many thanks, Brenda

Sure , did you want the short version or long ? I'll spare yuh and give you the short and post the fix.

First "B" = type/class , if you look at the top of the receptical on each COP you will see "B" stamped in the plastic - not important.. All Ford COP's are interchangable..

COP = Coil On Plug , what they do is change low voltage signals from the powertrain control module (PCM) to high voltage pulses. They produce high voltage pulses to the spark plugs. They connect directly to the sparkplug, you have eight of them - one per cylinder.
As they age the copper windings within the thermal layers of each COP get brittle and begin to deteriorate and separate. Thats where your at

Autoparts suppliers resale is about $50 - $60 a piece. The dealership charges $70 - $90 a piece.

Global Automotive, an eBay store, charges $96 for all 8 together, so that's pretty much a no-brainer where to purchase.

I know you replaced some already , but purchase a set of 8 to keep your motors integrity intact, that may sound funny but I'm serious. These modular motors are picky and finicky when it come to the ignition system..

Use only Motorcraft sparkplugs.

Heres Globals link for your COP's -
