Advice on buying 2002 Lariat with only 2 seats in back
I'm about to be a first-time dad, so I want to get a 2002 Super Crew so that I can fit a car seat and passengers. I found a great Lariat, but it only has captain chairs in back with a big subwoofer box between the seats. I love the truck, but it's not super practical. I know I could just get rid of the subwoofer and buy an entirely new back seat, but am wondering how much trouble that would be. I have no idea how the person who did the job put in the box. I've only seen the 2+1 back seat, and I assume he took out the 2 and replaced it with another 1-seater. Any advice? Should I buy the truck because it's a great price, or move on to something else?
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!

Here's the ad, but it doesn't show the back seat http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv...078283520.html.
I didn't realize the back seats came with the two captains chairs. I could see that there was another seatbelt for a middle seat, but it wasn't being used. I just know that there were two captains chairs and a subwoofer/box/amp in between. I'm worried that there won't be enough room for a car seat.
Thanks so much. I really appreciate the advice.

If there was a third seat belt it originally had either a 60/40, or 40/20/40 rear bench. The will all bolt in relatively the same. Looks to be a decent buy. Just drive it an listen for the typical squeeky ford front ends.

Thank you! I was all set to buy, but my wife was vetoing the back seat. It sounds like a fun project as long as everything lines up back there. The subwoofer box would have been great ... 10 years ago! Thanks again.

Shoot, if I end up buying I'll throw in the sub (I have no idea what's in there because I didn't even care to look). I'm going back there tomorrow and might just go for it. I drove it today and it felt great, even though it's only got the 4.6. It's mainly going to be a commuter for me though, so no biggie. I'll save a few cents on gas.

besides the captain seats if the trucks in good condition I would get it. don't let something like 2 bucket seats keep you from gettin a great truck! you can always find plenty of 60 parts of the back seats at junkyards, upload some pics of the truck if you have some
