Hopefully this would stop a would be thief from punching my locks out or damaging the vehicle only to find nothing of value inside. I'm also hoping it will make them pass on the tailgate. I may buy one of the masterlock tailgate locks i saw on a thread earlier this week as an extra precaution though.

Funny thing is I lock my doors religiously now. But my grandfather had a ragtop mustang he took into DC all the time. He left the doors unlocked so no-one would cut the roof to get in. All that happened was occasionally he would find his stuff gone through. My uncle on the other hand, lives in DC and has a 01 Screw that he locked all the time. He came out one day and found his drivers door lock punched out but nothing was taken because he didn't leave anything in the truck.

In other words, both had their stuff messed with, but one came out with damage to the vehicle and the other didn't. That's my reasoning for leaving the truck unlocked

I would recommend not lifting it though, you may scrape the top of your truck up , I only have 32's without the three inch lift I want and its already cutting it by a matter of inches in most garages around downtown Austin.

Just stay out of Maryland. If you start to see Maryland plates on the cars around you get out of that area. You shouldn't in that hood.
