1997 F150 Front fuel line bracket
I am in the process of replacing my old engine with a remanufactured engine from Ford. I am using the service manual to help me through it. I just finished installing the transmission and am trying to install the front fuel line bracket. But, I can not find the location where it goes. I know it is somewhere on the front of the transmission near the top but where? The service manual does little to make this clear. I have spent a good part of the day feeling around, laying on my back trying to reach up and find an empty hole or loose bolt that I may have left in place to lead me home. But to no avail. I can't find it and no matter how many times I stare at the illustration in the manual I am still unable to find where it goes. Is it possible that the bracket mounts under one of the transmission to engine bolts?

yes its the transmission bolts. if you were looking at the back of the engine it would be the top left its real tight up there lots of ratchet extensions and a swivel will take care of it

Thanks, broncomanjoe. I got it yesterday. I don't usually work Sundays but I couldn't wait. The transmission jack is out. I've got a few more things to do to finish up, exhaust, torquing nuts and bolts and then I will be done with crawling around. I'll be back to the upright position under the hood. Thanks again
