I have a 1997 F-150 4.2 V6 standard transmission. The truck runs well. I use it infrequently and only put about 3000 miles on it per year. I have a P1518 code set which is Intake Manifold Runner Control stuck open. I have done some research about having it repaired and just don't want to spend the money now. My question is if I don't repair it and continue to drive the truck will it damage the engine or any other component. I understand that not repairing it now may degrade performance but I don't have an issue with that since I use the truck infrequently. Any advice is welcome.
