Be prepared for 3-4 hours if doing this for the first time. I read a lot of bad stories about pulling these plugs out, so I took my time and went the soft and easy route. Get different sizes of 1/4 and 3/8 extensions, ratchets, and a torque wrench. These tools helped a lot, an extra long/deep plug socket, and a thumb ratchet. The 3rd plug on driver's side was a pain in the neck due to fuel rails and fuel regulator being right on top cop/plug.

I did not use motorcraft plugs and truck had a slight misfire/vibration when idle, but no engine codes. The next weekend I replaced all 8 plugs and used motorcraft SP-479 , problem solved. This time I did it in about an hour and a half.
