Changing rear shocks
Hey everybody! Today I changed my rear driver side shock, being that it had a bad lower bushing making for a loud clunking noise, well I got that changed and the clunk went away but it seems now the side with the new shock sits more level with the front than the pass side. Does anyone know why that is, are the stock shocks a heavy duty shock, because the one I bought was just a standard truck shock, I don't haul or tow anything so I really don't need the heavy duty ones, should I just replace the pass side with the same kind of shock that's on the drivers side? Would that level the truck out? It really doesn't bother me that much but I would prefer to have the truck completely level on both sides. Thanks in advance. Justin

I would replace the other shock with the same one, you should always replace shocks in pairs anyway. I'm surprised the guys at the parts store didn't say anything when you only bought one.

I bought both shocks and planned to replace them both but the other one seemed fine, plus we just got a foot and a half of snow and I got lazy and cold (no garage), I will put the other one on it is an easy enough job, do you think it will level it out? Thanks

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it will level out, the other old shock is probably worn out and a bit weaker, and with both new rear shocks it should be nice and level and ride better too.
