Are you throwing a code? Or are you failing a visual inspection?

Your best bet is either find someone to pass the visual or to have cats welded in. There's still no guarantee that welding cats in will pass you.

Technically it's illegal to modify or move the catalytic converters on a vehicle unless they are not working, in which case they need to be replaced with equivalent cats. Now that being said, some guys don't know that or won't care. Some will fail you in my area if they see headers, cats or not. Feel free to weld some on, supposedly it's better for the environment. I'm running gutted cats, so I just have to figure out how to get rid of my code to pass.

Hope everything works out for you

Pick up a set of Magnaflow Hi-flow cats and have them welded in place. Make sure your rear oxygen sensors arent turned off via a tuner. You should have a problem passing then.

Instead of spending money on the magnaflow cats, if you still have your factory cats you could gut them and install them. And either do the O2 non fouler mod or do what was mentioned earlier and have a tune turn the rear ones off.

Obviously ScrewThat you dont understand what the op's issue is and are a complete retard. If you turn the rear oxygen sensors off you wont pass any sort of emission testing. Once they plug in a scanner an see the emission monitor is incomplete you will fail. Also even if you use non foulers and gutted factory cats you may not even pass then because the pcm is smarter than and will still trigger the emission monitor to be incomplete.
diablo Do as i stated previously an you will be perfectly fine. You will no longer have CEL. If you decide to get custom tunes you will be even more happy.
