Suspension Probs on 06....
Okay so I'll do my best to explain but i realize it hard to give it answer without being here to physically check it out....
This all started about a 6 months ago. I had been running 2.5" level with 34's now for about 6 years when all of sudden Truck just started riding terrible. I feel every bump!!! Now I realize the level kit does take away from some of the ride comfort but it's like when I hit a bump I feel the truck is about to lose control or come apart....makes a huge clunking noise almost in the front....Everything is tightened up though....
So one would think its the shocks, so I replaced them with the Bilstein 5100's all the way around. Ditched the 2.5 level blocks and just set the Bilsteins to 2".....That helped a bit for I'd say a month or so but it still just rides awful. I'm at whits end with it. I love the truck, Its almost paid off, but Im just to the point where I hate driving it cuz it annoys me so much....Doesn't help I live in IL and roads here just plain suck too...
Ive tried taking to an alignment shop, they tell me they see nothing wrong yet obviously it's got to be something??? It rode great for 5 years....Can anyone think of any bushings or anything else that would be effected that I could look at replacing to fix this.....The new EcoScrew's have my attention but the mpg just isnt there for me yet compared to having no payments and pretty clean setup I have now.....still only at 70k miles....
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!
