Caliper Bracket Bolts
Anybody know off hand what the torque specs are for the caliper bracket bolts on 1999 f150 4x2 reg. cab. Do you have to get an impact gun to put the bolts back on or can you just use a wrench with maybe a breaker bar? Any help would be great. Thanks

Honestly I don't know the torque spec all I've ever done was tighten them with a socket and ratchet wrench. No need for an impact gun to tighten them back up (not a good choice anyway imo). Only ever use an impact for removing bolts or nuts.

Alright thanks. Thats all I did. I keep seeing people saying to get a 250ft/lb torque wrench when installing which sounds like a joke if you ever want to get it off again. Thanks Again

Caliper Anchor bracket bolts(front) 125 to 169 ft lbs
Caliper bolts, front 21 to 25 ft lbs
rear 20 ft lbs
I agree with the torque on the Caliper anchor bracket bolts, but on the Caliper bolts I have had them loosen when torqing them to specs. I tighten the Caliper bolts using my socket wrench, then a little extra smack on the handle.
Lug nut torque is listed as 85 to 105 ft lbs, so i would torque those brackets bolts to be safe! just my opinion!
