hello everyone names Benny from Texas, so an issue I was having originally turned into something else. Had the old problem of AC, heat whatever coming from the defrost only. Decided one day to finally take it out and do the old replace the o ring thing, Did some of them went to put it (EATC) back in and nothing! the digital lights did not come on or anything! then my check engine light came on!. So decided I needed to take it to a mechanic. One tried saying I need a whole new computer for my truck so I left there quickly then the second mechanic I took it to put smoke through the system and found all the smoke was coming out somewhere in the dash board which means there is a vacuum leak somewhere in there. I did purchase a new EATC unit well used out of a 03 F150 HD with only 61000 miles and mine has 121k. Either way labor alone is going to be between 4-5 hundred not including the parts I am going to need once they find this vacuum leak. ANYONE ever change out the vacuum lines in theirs? I have an 03 HD btw. I would like to maybe do it myself and save me a few hundred dollars. Thank you all in advance !
