thats not true bucket seats. i have the same seats but mine are leather and they are 60/40 split bench seats. yeah sure the drivers side is a bucket but the passengers isnt. i am actually considering putting in the buckets and center console from a navigator or expedition and from what i know they should match up fairly well, but the center console will need to be screwed or bolted down some how.

Question ebxgsxr,

how were you able to connect the expedition console properly. I just got one and I am interested in how you got it to fit and feel solid given all the material under the console and the two large metal plates that are screwed to the floor board in the expedition. My mod is on hold until I figure this part out. Thanks in advance.

well, when i took out the stock console, there were 2 studs sticking out of the floor. im not sure if they are supposed to be there or not. from what i understand there are supposed to be holes that are covered by plugs & the carpet. but they matched up to the holes from the bracket of the expy console. for my scab that was all i ended up bolting down. the front fits tightly against the dash, so i never worried about that. it's very secure. i actually changed the wide top to a narrow top, so i could use the armests on the seat. but a lot of times, i have the armrest up out of habit. and just by the rear bracket, it holds the console in tight even when i lean & push on it if i have to move around in the seat.

now as for the expy mod that im doing in my lightning, there are supposedly holes in the floor that are covered by the carpet & have plugs in them. you just have to trim the carpet & use a tap & dye to thread the holes. i will hopefully have the expy console mod done in my lightning this week, so if i remember, ill post here to let you know.

does yours have stock buckets?

No I ended up moving from a 60/40 to bucket. I actually took the complete seat set up from an expedition and installed it in my supercrew. It was a fun hot weekend.
