Default Brake pedal OK, but No bleed on rear

Ok I am stumped. I just changed all the brakes on by 2001 Lariat. Front brakes bled fine, when I got to the rear, I am not able to bleed- in other words, nothing comes out of bleed valve. Moreover, the brake pedal doesn't go all the way down to the metal when bleeding them either. I removed the small hose to the rear caliper and nothing is coming out of it either? There is brake pressure, yet only the front brakes are working

Trace the brake lines from the differential to the master cylinder. The rear brake line should "tee" and go to each wheel at the differential.

Sounds like you may have hit or kicked something up and creased the line enough to restrict the flow. My money is on a dent or flat spot near the front in the brake line.

Worst case the valve in the master cylinder feeding the back brakes went bad. But that should make the dash brake idiot light come on.

He's talking about the rear end man, that big round thing in the center of the rear axle.

97BA, thanks. First thing I checked. So I am good there, they are on correctly. OK so here is what I have, traced the line mid stream up from differential and there is a flange, which I disconnected - no fluid there.

Reconnected and kept moving up stream from there to the ABS module. Disconnected at ABS and pumped the brake and no fluid out of the orifice which feeds the rear line. Went to MC and disconnected rear line supply and fluid comes out of MC when I press the brake, with a lot of pressure.

So I have to think that I have a bad abs - how do I test it? And is there a reset, or fuse for it. The front brakes are good.

Ok so I have the ABS module out. Not sure what next- the piece under the module (pump), thats the piece that the rear line is connected to and the line from the mc is also connected to. Does that ABS module control if any flow of fluid comes out of the pump or should I be looking at the pump iteself?
