Blue sticker on Tranny?
Climbed under my truck today to check out my new MAGNAFLOW exhaust and saw this sticker on my tranny. (Sorry for the quality it was from my cell phone.) I have a 2001 F150 Super Cab with a manf. date of Feb 2000. The sticker says" Void After August 31, 2000." Did Ford have problems with their trannies to have an exchange program so early in the production run? Does TSB stand for Transportation Safety Board?
Also I bought this truck a few months ago. It has 145,000 miles on it. I am going to change the tranny oil this weekend. Should I get it flushed? The truck has a tow bar and it looks like they had a trailer brake control installed in the cab. What would you do? Synthetic oil or not?
Thanks

Exhaust System
I am going to Vegas so I will try to gets some pics Monday. I just saw the word "gas" in Vegas. At $3.82 a gallon it's going to be an exsensive trip. A quick calculation looks like it will run me about $200 round trip.

Targus, do a Map Quest for the address going to here in Vegas. There is an icon for gasoline. Will tell you the location for the best price near your location. Years back, I used to R & R the tranny's for the transmission man. He made me blow out the tranny cooler lines on every job.
