Default Blue/Grey Smoke

Hello

Installed a JET performance MAF for my 02 Supercrew 4.6L. Good performance noted, although now after the truck sits for a number of days, the intial start up throws out some bluish smoke, does smell alittle rich. Assuming it is the MAF what would the solution be?

I Just installed a K+N CAI on a 5.4l. Did the same thing. Take off the intake piping and gently clean the maf. I used brakeclean to wash mine down, not sure if that is the best way. The maf is gummed up with oil from the filter element.

CRC actually makes a product called Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner. It's a little less harsh for those fine wires. Of course use caution... it would suck to break one of the wires.
