My 2003 5.4L with 132,000 miles takes exactly 6 quarts each time I do an oil change.

When I put 6 in my 01 5.4 with 127000 miles it takes me halfway up the dipstick. So do I add until its to all the way to the full line?

Well the low point or bottom hash or dot on the stick is a half quart low I guess I'm not quite sure halfway up the stick means if your filling the entire block with oil... You're doing it wrong

No I meant its half way between the two holes. So should I fill it to the top hole that is just below "Max" ?

Cause the way I looked at it you don't load something to the Max only if you have to so I didn't figure you would fill it to the Max. Is this not true am I just overthinking it?
