LOL, Peanut oil contains resveratrol, a polyphenol antioxidant, which has been found to have protective function against rust, internal residue, degenerative electronics, ECU memory failure and viral/fungal infections.

Default bringing this one back update!!

y 98 F150 4x4 now has 286.542 miles on it and still working hard. However I did start to notice a little noise from the 5w30 synthetic in the morning and it would last for a while even after warm up. So I first switched to 0W40 Castrol Euro formula it was good for about 3,000 miles then it was doing the same thing. So I have now Switched to 10w40 Napa by Valvoline at 1,200 miles on it since it seams to like it Horsepower has picked back up so has torque but fuel mileage has gone down lost about 3 miles to the gallon. However it is running a lot better and no noise and no losing power at acceleration. Will keep you updated on results..

I have always heard this too but how can that hold true when you pick these trucks up used? We have no clue what the PO used or how well they maintained them. I always just start running Motorcraft oil and filters in them again and no issues so far by doing this. The 01 F150 5.4 I have now started running better after its first oil change so no telling what was in there.

Real answer...it dont much matter
Change it often, whatever it is and youl get 200,000 + no problem if its a good engine.

There are engine designs out there from every mfg that are sludge producers, or otherwise bad, and just arent going to last 200-300,000 miles.
