Default Suggestions for new tailgate purchase

My 2000 F150 supercab is bent from loading a big rock and I need a replacement. Anyone have suggestions for a new bare tailgate? Last resort would be a junkyard and I don't want a net or bars, etc.
Rock auto shipping is rather high.
Located near Charlotte.
Thanks in advance.

Shipping will be expensive due to the size of the tailgate. Junkyard would be best bet. Take the money you save from paying full price and shipping to have your used gate professionally painted.

Tailgates are expensive. Expect to spend 300-500 even at a junkyard. Most SD tailgates I've seen go for 1,000+

I got SD gate for my grandfather for $150. It was damaged and just spent the extra on having it painted and fixed..

Call a junk yard and see what they want. If its above 200, look for a parts truck on CL, we got one for my grandfather for 50 bucks. He got one for his 2002 f350, it had the step and pole on it.

Really, I haven't looked yet, but did plan on it. Like that SD step. At that cost it's not going to happen lol.
