Whats the best all purpose tire?
Soon i'm gonna be getting some new tires. I've been reffered to a couple kinds like the Dune Grappler and BFG A/T, but i'm curious what everyone is running? If possible tell me how long you've had them so I can get an idea on tire life. You don't have to tell the price if your don't want, I know some people don't like to. I'm only a 2wd so the most bad***** mud tire isn't a necessity but would be nice to have something that would give me a little more grip when i'm off with the guys. Thanks for your opinions

Goodyear Wrangler GS/A
I bought a set of Goodyear Wrangler GS/A a few months back and seem to be good tires. I paid $125 each for 265-70-17. Good price, quiet and a little more aggressive tread than stock Wrangler RS/A.

If your looking for something on the cheaper side, I just bought some General Grabber HTS tires over the weekend and they seem to be good so far. they're more of a highway tire though. I just wanted something good in rain and stuff since I only have a 2wd and never go off road. I paid 563.72 and that included mounting, balance, and taxes out the door. A good site that you probably already know about is www.tirerack.com. you can compare reviews and they do tests and all that stuff. pretty good place to start.
BTW, I just noticed your in Hartselle. I got mine at Big 10 tires on Jordan Ln in Huntsville. I shopped around for a while and they said they'd beat whatever price I found and they did. just an fyi

The One and Only
When I got new tires I needed something that was not real aggressive but could handle the snow I get where I am at in the winter and possibly some muddy feilds....well I ended up with Toyo A/T's and am very pleased with their performance. Easy on the highway but can dig in if needed. I have had them for about 10,000 miles and they look just as good as when i bought them...

as far as big 10 goes, you may have to haggle with them. i went to peoples and top line first and then told the guy at big 10 the prices the other guys gave me and he ordered the generals and said that normally they would beat or at least match they're competitors.
