Default anything wrong with this?

Just a ?, I was thinking of just draining the radiator and adding new antifreeze without flushing. exactly what I said, drain radiator then fill with new anti. If I do that how many gallons of antifreeze do i need? the reason I just want to drain and fill is because I plan to change it again next year.

Nothing wrong with it at all... if your coolant is not too bad but you're doing this more for a peice of mind, go for it. IIRC, most radiators hold about 2 gallons. I could be wrong on that number.

I usually do a drain and refill every 20k miles or so.

No, buy a jug of the pre-mixed stuff. Anything thats a 50/50 mix will work just fine and cost maybe $10 per jug.

You can do the mixing yourself but after you consider the cost of running to two seperate places to get each product and the time invested, its worth the extra $2-$3 to get the pre-mix and not have to worry about using the "right" stuff to dilute it.

Plus don't most vehicle manufactures say that you should never use a higher diluted concentration than 60/40? I will never see the point of using anything other than 50/50 unless you live in ****ing Canada.
