How much is a little? You mentioned towing, What's the towing cap. for the Expeditions & navigators? (Realizing there's also a vehicle weight difference.)

This seems like a "well if you need to replace them anyway" mod. Do you think there's much more benefit than that?

This seems like a topic that would have been talked about to death.

Heres the skinny. If you have a SCREW you allready have expedition front rotors and Calipers. If you have 2003+ You allready have them as well as long as its not a RCSB. The only upgrade worth doing are to any 7700 front calipers. For thos who dont have the Expo/Navy front calipers you will need rotors from a 2003 Expo. The 7700 utilize he same pad as the expo/navy but have 3mm larger piston which is made out of steel an is less prone to sticking.

having a early model 10th I had the smaller front rotors(thickness) along with even smaller calipers the braking sucked. I did the expo uprgrade at first and the brakes were about 15-20% stronger pedal feel, along with quicker stopping. When the expo calipers started to stick(phenolic pistons) I replaced them with the largest variant (7700) with steel pistons. It was another increase of about 10%-15%. The braking is so much better now with EBC Rotors, and Green stuff pads. It really feel like the front is going to drag the ground. I have complete 7700 suspension and my abs activates the rear a hell of alot more than it ever has with 7700 front brakes because of how much the rear lifts now under braking.

I am very interested in this brake upgrade.

Only the 7700 series calipers are equipped with steel pistons? Next time i have to replace pads I am going to plan to do this. Emergency stop while towing is pretty scary in this truck

I have a 99 SCREW so i can just leave the rotors?

Some of the rebuilt expedition unit have aftermarket steel piston instead of Phenolic. All the 7700's came with steel pistons to begin with.

Think the 03+ navi used the same
Setup. I know the 7700
Only had 16" wheels so it limited the diameter

Their tow ratings were also more than the 7700's
