Anyone Carry Guns In Their Trucks?

Anyone of age that is. And no mental cases.

also if your planning on keeping the 12 gauge in the truck you should cut down on length so it's not hard to move around in the truck, the barrel is already pretty short so I'd change the stock to a postal grip which will make it easy access in the truck and a badd *** look

http://smartgunlaws.org/federal-law-on-guns-in-schools/ Oh yeah? Passed by Congress and signed by Bill Clinton and then reauthorized in 2002 by Congress and signed by George Bush. What does that make it?

I picked up a cheap tactical 12ga for 200 bucks, with an 18.5" barrel. I plan on putting it in my truck where its easily accessable, but also discrete. I live in TX so it doesn't have to be discrete, but I don't want others to know I have it. My question to you guys is where do you carry yours?

As far as I know many states that issue the Concealed Carry permit will allow you on school grounds with it. I would check each states law for sure. But without the permit to carry its a federal felony. I hear there is legislation to make a carry permit more like a drivers license that is honored by all states. Makes a lot more sense then having it be so confusing. I just read about a mom from PA who was stopped in NJ. She mentioned to the police officer that she had a gun along with a CCW permit. She is still in jail.

I carry a 10/22 and usually my ar15 in the truck. Sc law says long guns must be in a case and unloaded,so they both ride in the case with loaded mags under the fold down console.
Also, its legal to have hand guns on school property if they're in the console. Not sure about long guns.

Concealed carry here.... but do not always have one on me.... if i'm going to the bank or post office or any city or government office, I don't carry.
Don't want to leave it in the vehicle, if they steal your vehicle, and use your weapon, even though you locked up your vehicle, you could still be an accessory to a crime if your weapon was used and someone was hurt or killed.
Our countries laws are quickly becoming more useful to the criminals who don't care about them anyway. Some of the gangs here brag about the fact they will not scrape off the serial numbers, so they can say, "that ain't my gun, I didn't shoot that guy, find out who its registered to and arrest them". And YOU have to prove you were not in the area of the crime.
Also, you can sell your weapons to other people and NOT have to report it... however, if you want to be smart about it, meet them at a location that sells weapons and pay a fee to have the serial number registered under the buyers name. If you don't, who knows who they will sell it to? and your name will still be under the "registration".
