I got this truck a few weeks ago and it has some funky carbon fiber dash over lay and I noticed it has a light on under it. Doesn't have any codes and passed smog no problem. It's a 99 fx4 and I'm wondering if anyone knows what light this is. It's the light right next to the trip reset button Thanks

it's not a fx4 and it's not stock. The lights have been changed they are supposed to be green. They started making fx4's in 2002. Someone just slapped the decal on it.

It's does the axle code have anything to do with what model it was?

H9 Is a fx4 axle code 3.55 LS.

Its most likely the speed sensor on the differential housing, replace that and it will go away, i think the sensor is only like $25 more or less at the dealership

H9 is a 3.55 limited slip code but not a fx4 code. My 2000 2wd has that axle code.

It is 1 of the Fx4 options yes but does not mean the truck is an Fx4 if it has H9.
