Antifreeze
I know this is kinda like a which oil thread, but is anyone running the Orange type of antifreeze? Good, bad, indifferent?
I am flushing the cooling system soon and thinking of using it.

I have never used the orange stuff. I am sure it is probably good. However the most important thing is not to mix the two, (orange and green). If you are going to switch make sure you drain all the old antifreeze out. I was told that if you use just the radiator drain plug you only flush out 60 percent of antifreeze the other 40 is still in the motor. I would disconnect all the hoses and try to flush out the most I could. Don't know if it is true or not but if you mix the two a gel like substance can form which could clog up your radiator. Google green mixed with orange antifreeze. Good luck.

The only reason to go from green to orange would be for the supposed life of orange. But, your truck is 10+ years old already. Not worth it.
Other than that, I can only think of cons which far outweigh the one pro. Change your green every 2-3 years. It's $100 at the Ford dealership I go to.

Thanks for the replies. The reason I ask is that my truck seems to have Orange in it from the last time the cooling system was worked on which was quite sometime ago. Or rusty yellow.

Looking for a Henway.

Ford does have a long life coolant and it is a yellowish orange color, like the pic. It is not the same as the GM Dexcool though.
Valvoline makes a coolant called Zerex G-05 that looks like that, I am sure others do too.
