annoying door chime
how to get rid of the door chime when the driver door is open and the key is in the ignition.couldnt find anything about it because the internet on my phone sucks

Pull the speaker out or disconnect it... But don't blame me when you leave your lights on and kill your battery haha, if ya wanna hear your radio while outside the truck just open the passenger side door lol I'm messin with ya... That chime is annoying but it's saved my battery I'm sure more than once

Why cant it chime like 2x when the door first opens or something and then stfu? Automakers and their chimes need to take a chill pill. A lot of the new vehicles have the button pad, so its no biggie if you leave your keys in the car.

Haha ^ I agree, but we don't have the luxuries the new cars do... Hell some of us don't have automatic headlights... But yeah, a couple dings and stfu would be better

You have to remove the upper and lower cover on your steering column and theres one wire black on my truck that slips in the side of the ignition lock cylinder and it has a little copper clip gently pull it out and tape the end off and put the covers back on the ding will go away but if you leave your headlights on it will ding so it takes away the annoying part but still saves your lights from staying on without warning
