ABS problem on 2003 F150 Supercrew
I'm getting the following codes after the ABS light goes on:
B1676 - Battery Voltage Out of Range
C1185 - ABS Power Relay Output Circuit Fault
C1096 - Hydraulic Pump Motor Circuit Open
The 50 amp fuse has blown twice so there's a definite electronic problem.
When I put in a new fuse in ( with the ignition off ) the Hydraulic pump runs for about ten seconds than stops.
The ABS light goes out but only for a short period of time (couple of local trips), than the fuse blows again.
The last time I was walking away from the vehicle and heard the pump go off and than the fuse blew again.
The ABS circuit must be hard wired to the battery as it is getting power even after ignition is off. I find that strange as the vehicle is not clearly in motion when the ignition is turned off so the ABS would not be needed. I'm thinking there may be a short in the wiring.
Does anyone have a schematic showing the ABS controller and sensor. The Haynes and Chilton manuals don't show it.
Thanks!!!

For my 2002, fuse 102, 50 amp org/yel wire goes to pin 9 and 25 of ABS module. Haven't seen anything else, will keep looking. Suggest trying Helm.com for online help for a subscribed period of time.

Thanks Bill!
Thanks Bill!
Sorry I'm late getting back to you. I was out of town for the weekend.
I'll check out Helm.com to see if they have any information. I might have to get a Ford service manual to get this detail.
Thanks again!
