OBD code P1401 and P1451
Before I get chewed out for a repeat thread, I have read numerous post about these two codes. In a nut shell, the motor is a 4.2 V6, 2001 with 320,000 miles on it. I bought it when it had 15,000. I love my truck! I am in a bind. I did the whole eather thing with the vaccum hoses and manifold gasket.....none were cracked or broke....I replaced my EGR valve, the EGR Pressure Feedback Sensor, and the Idle Air Control Valve. My motor STILL runs like crap. It is STILL spitting out the P1401 and P1451 codes. On the way home yesterday, it used almost a half a tank of gas to go 60 miles. Other codes it spits out are a misfires for Cylinder 1 and 5. I am at the poinit of driving my truck off of a bridge!! PLEASE, someone tell me something that is not in these post so I don't have to resort to that. Thanks for any info.

Well, for the missfires has it had a tune up in a while? What comes to mind for it missfiring on two cylinders is the coil pack. I know they had an issue with cracking and causing the truck to missfire.
I'll have to get back with you on the codes, or hopefully someone has a good suggestion.
Dont drive it off a bridge!!!!

Last night before I called it quits, I pulled the 1 and 5 plug. They looked burnt. I am going today to get new plugs to replace them. As far as the coil pack, I changed that less than a year ago so I am not sure that is the problem. Once I change the plugs, if it happens again, I will attack that issue. Today I am going to change the plugs first and see how it runs. If it still runs bad, I will change the Canister purge valve solenoid. I don't have a tester to see if it is bad, so I am just going to change it. Thanks for your reply and I will keep you posted.
