Abs light on / "brake" light off
2000 F150. My ABS light is always on and dash parking "brake" light is always off when parking brake is depressed. I have already had the recalled cruise control part replaced. Wondering if these two problems are related and can be fixed with one "fix" or what. The only time the "brake" indicator is on is when the I first start her up. The ABS light is always on.

Have you tried adjusting the emergency/parking brake? If that doesnt fix it, the problem is most likely just a sensor.
There are 3 ABS sensors on your truck. There is 1 near each front tire and there is another in the rear differential.
I highly doubt that the cruise control has anything to do with it.

Abs and "brake" light
No I havn't adjusted the parking brake. The brake works fine but the dash light does not come on like it should. I figure it must be the rear differential sensor. Would that sensor cause the abs light to be on and the parking brake light to be off?

My ABS light problem was the differential speed sensor. Ford p/n DY1123. They are at Advance Auto Parts and not dear at all. 7/16 socket is the only tool you need. I replaced mine 90,000 miles ago on my 1999. Don't know about the brake light, but I think it may be a non-functioning switch.
