Default 1997 Ford F150 #1 miss fire

i have this problem with my truck the check engine light stay on all the time cause i have a evap problem that i can not figure out but the light went to blinking the other day and i had it checked and it said #1 miss fire and low egr flow. i changed out the plugs and wires and it happened again so i changed out one the 2 coils the number one was on and it is still happening can some one help me out 4.6 liter engine 204,000 miles on it thanks any help will be greatly helpful

First clean the egr ports inside the throttle body elbow to get rid of that flow problem. As for the misfire I would look at the possibility of a injector failing.
Swap the number 1 injector with the number 2 and see if the misfire moves to that cylinder.

let me say one other thing this only happens when i first start my truck in the morning and every once in a while when i start it when i get off of work after it has been shut off for about 8 hours thanks

Did you coat the plug boots with dielectric grease?

i had them changed and i will say yes to that when i start it up in the morning it last about 1/4 of a mile then it stops running rough.

Is it hard to start? Does it smoke on start up?

Wonder what kind of plugs they put in. These motors only like Motorcrafts in a stock application.
I still wouldn't overlook the injector.
