Default Where's my crankcase oil going?

I got 115000 miles on the 5.4 and it seems to be losing oil. I changed my oil about 800 - 900 miles ago and it's lost a 1/2 quart so far. I put in 6 quarts at each oil change and I'm using motorcraft semi-synthetic 5w-20w. No oil spot appears on ground whenever I'm parked in same spot for long periods and the inside of my my exhaust is bare metal, no soot at all. Anybody experience this?

Yes it's a 2v engine. '04 was when the 3v started.

Start it when its dead cold, run around back real quick and see if there is a blue tint to the exhaust. My friend had an 01 that would burn oil real lightly on startup

I park it in my garage every night and when I start it each morning, I don't see smoke at all. I should see it give out a puff of blue smoke in my garage shouldn't I

Well if it doesn't leak, it is either burning it or pumping it into the coolant. Those are your two options.

I'm assuming you checked it right after you changed your oil. Did you start it first to fill the oil filter?

Some of these newer engines are designed to "use" some oil. There is a difference between use and lose
