Default 99 f150 4x4 problem

4x4 clicks five times when you select 4x4 high.I replaced the shift motor but no change in it. I've checked the actuator and It seems fine. Anyone else had this trouble?

In my 01' it clicks twice when I engage it, then another click about 2-3 seconds after I engage it. You may have a vacuum leak causing it not to engage.

I've checked for vacume leaks one time. Everything seemed ok. But I could have missed something. I took the shift motor off and it never turns at any point. Makes me think it's electrical. Stumped on this one.

Thanks for the link. Tested it and narrowed it down to the gem module or the module on top of dash. Replaced the module on top of dash and that fixed it.
Thanks for the help

Not a problem. It's easier to show and view a video than to try and type back and forth over the net for who knows how long, before you figure out the problem, if you ever do? lol. Glad to be of assistance. Good luck.
