Keep the 4R70 that is behind the 4.6. Also keep the 4.6 converter. Behind a 5.4 it give you a nice 1800-2000 stall converter. Being your truck is non Pi Find a good 4v from a Navigator 01-04. The engines are all the same. You will need a PCM and engine harness from a 01/02 Navigator. It would be fairly simple. With a good tune it would be a world of difference from a NON pi 4.6

You could call it wrong. I could call it different. I still dont mind the thought of a 5.0 OHV in it. I think it would be cool, and they have a massive aftermarket. I'm going to run a modular V8. I think it would be a fun build, though (a 5.0). At least I'm not going full retard and trying to get a N/A 7.3.
