Your joking right ? If you cut a hole in the bed, you should turn yourself in at the funny farm. It's almost the dumbest thing I've ever heard of lol.

I didn't hear you chiming in before hand. I already said the only reason I would consider it is it is a hunting truck. You have some good advice but if you don't have something nice to say, keep your mouth shut. Unless somehow you make yourself feel superior in your own mind, then by all means keep up with the snarky comments.
The bed bolts were going to have to be cut off, the hanger bolts are a huge ball of rust, the only remaining option was to cut the bed.

Buy a 30buck grinder at wal-mart and grind the tops of them down, bolts fall right out. Just replace them with grade 8 carriage bolts.

All you do is pop the rear vent, drain the fuel.
Then remove the tank guard, bolts and filler tube, it drops right down easy with the fuel drained. It's a quick job, nothing to it.

I'm not sure what happened, but the quotes are messed up above.
Yea sorry cardinexile, but that's beyond stupid. Cutting a hole in the bed over the fuel tank....please.. You would have to have a hole in your head for sure. I doubt you'll be alive much longer with that kind of thinkin.

I grinded mine out tho, - shouldn't have. Found out later the best way to do that is to drill them out. It's faster and cleaner. You use a good Cobalt bit, fill the inside of the bolt top (the torque socket chamber) with cutting oil and with a little drilling the heads pop right off.
Walmarts carries grinders cheaper than Harbor Freight lol ?

Ok, next question. How hard is it to change the fuel pump? I have a couple options in mind- #1: drop the tank (1/2 full); #2: cut a hole in the bottom of the bed to access the pump from the top, then repair the hole with some sheet metal. I should mention the reason I would consider #2 is that this is a hunting truck.
