Default 98 F150 sputters on accceleration

Ive changed fuel filter and air filter, still chugging and sputtering, any suggestions. Its been doing this for awhile, never stalls, can make it go away by flooring it and laying off, but its very bad now, that isnt working. 112,000 miles 5.4 v8

What is your fuel pressure? You can get a pressure tester cheap, or rent one at a local parts store. Could be fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator. Let us know the pressure.
