Default 98 F150 Power Seat Problems

I have a 98 F150 Super cab 4X4. The driver's power seat just stopped going back. It will go all other directions. It just "clicks" when you push the back button. Anyone had a similiar problem? Just wondering if it is a switch or a wiring problem? Any suggestions would help. Thanks!

Mine does that too...got to the point where my knees were wedged up against the dash. The switch is bad on it. Could buy a new switch or just leave it, just don't move forward

Well my wife drove it last, so it is too far forward for me to even drive it. Guess I will be buying a new switch and hope that is it. Anyone know how to manually move it back so I can at least drive it till I get it fixed?

Yeah but it involves taking off the seat (only a few bolts) and taking a drill battery or something to the wires. I did that and still haven't changed the switch. Whatever you do, DON'T TAKE OFF THE MOTORS, they are the biggest pain in the *** to get back on

Had that exact same problem in my van.
I mean exactly. (my wife is 5 feet and I am 6' 2").
I greased the seat rails and removed the obstruction (a small folding umbrella under the seat) and it worked fine again.
Check for ANY objects under the seat and inside the rails.
I doubt it is the switch but it could be of course.
