I am about to purchase a 98 f150 4x4 lariat. When test driving it i noticed that if i put it in reverse or 1st, get on the break and give it some gas (pressure testing the tranny) it would start to shake a bit. Even during normal leisurely take off it would sometimes slip. The truck has 204000 miles on it but the transmission was serviced recently (new filter, drained tranny fluid, etc. the basics). Immediately following i parked it and checked the tranny fluid. It read low, we re-dipped it several times afterwards and it read full. Any suggestions or fixes?

you better look for a diferent truck or only pay acouple $1000 and expect to replace tranny

yeah. buy then reck it and claim insurance. dont drop money on time bombs
