Also, beware of the hantavirus. That is some ruthless stuff. My friends Dad died from it, and so did my neighbor.

In addition to other things that were said; I did not see anyone say to clean the MAF or to change the PCV valve. Also, regarding that heater, while you are at it, I would install new heater hoses. the guick disconnect fittings on these get brittle with age and break and start leaking. Especially when you are doing work on your engine like you are doing and you bump the hoses. When you take them off you can also see if a lot of rust comes out of your heater core.

When I got my 99 xl bare bones truck the head liner had fallen down and the PO had pulled the fabric out. Being cheap I took the board down used a stiff brush to clean all the foam off and sprayed it with gray plasti-dip used 2 cans and it looks like a felt headliner now.

That sounds interesting. Got any pics? Mine is starting to separate up by the windshield. I've glued it back on in a couple places in an attempt to slow it down, but I need a long term solution.

Took my headliner out last year because it was falling down. I've been wanting to put it back in. Just haven't researched a fix yet. I know a guy who bought a sewing machine, an old singer I think lol. Anyway, he made his own then made seat covers. Did an excellent job, but mannn, I'd have to learn to sew.

I asked if he would make me some but, he said he didn't like me enough...shuks

Probably uses a heavier needle, I imagine you could set it up for that.

Hey , I'll take honesty any way I can get it lol. But YOU, may know who I'm referring too, -Fairlaner, who's truck was the color of dirt ? I think you hung out there once in awhile.

Maybe it was another guy from Alaska ? May have been.

Anyway, I found his seat cover thread, maybe the OP could use the info, -
