97 Rough idle, possible vacuum leak?

Wow! Thanks guys! I did a bunch of work to my truck last week and changed my PCV valve. After a few days it got worse and worse and was doing all the same things that were being talked about. Saw the post and the pics and there it was staring me in the face. That elbo was off. Put it back on and its good to go. I guess I knocked it loose changing the PCV. So helpfull, thanks again.

Thanks, my 97 F-150 just started having the same idle problem. Googled answers and found this forum. Very helpful. Hose connecting to the 90 degree elbow had come out. The 90 degree elbow had a split down the side.

Rough Idle
My kid had the same issue with his 97 f150 5.4
Idle was at sputtering 500 then a bad misfire occured
when you accelerated. Turns out the problem
was a blown coil which the f150 is known for. Also he
had a slight vaccum leak which caused the CEL .
also replaced the PCV.
Runs like a top and no more check engine light.
