Yep, that happens quite a bit with the MEGA fuses. It's why they were discontinued in the 99 -03 models. All that connects the fuse is a solder tear drop. If the fuse is flexed or bent, the solder joint can crack causing an intermittent loss in power. Checking fuses is a basic common sense deal for the most part. If those particular fuses are mishandled, bent or replaced with cheap knock-offs (thin gauge copper), they can cause problems. The way you notice it is a loss of power..everything. Not just one thing. Plus they can kill the battery eventually.
