Default 97 F150 stalling out while driving.

Hello all. I have a 97 F150 4.6 liter with 174k miles on it. I've replaced the fuel filter, plugs, wires, coil packs, gas tank.My truck started stalling randomly while driving or at a stop. My rpms will drop and then shoot back up. With most the time stalling out. Sometimes it will start back up while most the time not for an hour or so. It will just crank but not start. I need help. I've tried what I know. Thanks in advance!

I heard things about the Mass air flow sensir, Inc and crank sensor. Are these possible? Thanks JBrew.

Not by your description

If it were IAC, it would re-start right away giving it fuel.

If it were the Crank Sensor, it wouldn't re- start at all. I guess you could check the connector, but that isn't a common problem.

Fuel first on this one.

I Do Have A Check Engine Light on. It's my O2 sensor (bank 2 sensor2) downstream. Every one says that's not my problem.

Thanks. Me too. A little over an hour of it being towed home it fired right up.
