I just purchased one and i need some help, I have only owned this truck for one day and a brake line broke in the back, it shakes pretty bad in one of the gears and the 4x4 light keeps flickering on and off. Its kinda rusty on the bottem too. when turning sharp the wheel or something makes alot of noise and when i start it, its really loud for the first 5 minutes. Its a 97 f150 4.6 extcab 4x4 235,000. Just want some advice if i should repair it or try and get my money back. thanks!!!

Sounds like the idler arm is shot when you make turns on it, not to hard to change. That loud engine sound for 5 minutes might be the exhaust bolts are begining to rust off at the engine exhaust pipe, causing a leak until it warms up ?. Mine did at 160,00. cost 125.00 to repair. And not sure about your shaking in a certain gear. I still love my F150 97 4.6L
