Hey im new to the forum and just bought a 97' F150. It has 180k miles on it so I was wondering what i could do to extend the engine life and how long I can expect it to last. Also I want to do some upgrades to it as well but don't know where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to the site.... what engine did you say you had??... i always run royal purple(very exspensive) oil in all my trucks...(had a 89 f150 that last almost to 400000 miles ...and it burnt engine ran like new )... and i use K&N oil and air filters.... but i would definatly get an K&N air filter... can get one from anywhere like autozone... for around 50 bucks..... and then search this site for "gotts mod".... and do that it just takes a couple bucks to do and it really works.... and then a set of exhoust..... if you want or need more you can get a tuner and custom tunes from bill at php....

Sorry its a V8 4.6, I have a CAI, as well as flowmaster dual exhuast, running motorcraft full synthetic 5-20, and thats all for now.
