Default Black smoke

Anyone know why my truck blows out a nice black cloud of smoke when I punch on the gas?

How long has the SC been installed and is the truck tunned properly? No SES light? Have you replaced the 02 sensor? They start to get lazy around 60K.
My Bonneville did this too, but every since I replaced the 02 sensor on it I haven't noticed it anymore.

No SES light......O2 sensor huh? wouldnt have thought of that. The SC was installed prior to me purchasing and I have owned the truck for 3 years now. As for proper tuning, I bet she could use a nice tune job. I have always been into lowriders, so that put me into just looks. I know basic vehicle maintenance but not much about tuning.

I HIGHLY reccomend finding a good dyno tuner in your area. I agree with him on the Lazy 02's also. Where are ya at I might be able to help you find a SCT tuner there.

Just some info. I got my truck tuned and checked out. The black smoke is a good thing when you are running that much extra boost. It means that you are running rich. Which keeps you from having to much hot air and blowing a nice whole in your heads.
