97 Aftermarket light fitment???
I just orderd a set of aftermarket headlights and fogs and nothing seems to be lining up. The headlights look like they should work if i had the proper retaining clips. But my fog lights are just to big to fit the openings and none of the bracket holes line up either. Anyone else run into these problems?

I dont think those fog lights will fit your truck, and you have the very early 97 which uses that black bracket to hold the lights insted of just having them fit into the header pannel, which reduces your light choices greatly. The only aftermarket lights that I have seen that fit are some oem lightning looking ones in lmc truck.

Well it looks like with out that black piece there if i just put them through the header panel they fit pretty nice, i just need some retaining clips to hold them in there.
As for the fogs they were ordered in the package claiming to fit 97-98 f150's but there is no way.

I though that I saw some clear ones at one point, but they may have been for the 99-03 trucks.
The more I think about it, I think I rember a thread about someone having the same problem that you do with those fogs and they got them to fit with a few pics, but they had to notch the bumper to get the lights to fit. you might want to search for it and see if you can find it.

I had a similar problem myself. i had someone back into me and i bought an used headlight from the junkyard. I bought the headlight and turnmarker. I went to install them thinking it was going to be a 10 min job but it turns out it all has to do with the production date of the tuck. now my truck is two wheel drive so its not like it has fog lights so im clueless. My tuck was actualy built 11/96 and the truck i got the headlight out of a 97 the actual lense was the same but all the mounting was different. So it would probably be best to be exactly specific when ordering headlights for your tuck (and the holes for the turnmaker were different too).
