Have a 97 f150 5.4L V8... The motor has a little over 50000 miles on it, and I bought a built monster racing transmission with 3000 miles on it. I was talking to my brother about throwing a supercharger in it. I don't want nothing to insane and I don't want to spend 5G's on one either.. And I also don't wanna blow my motor.. I want like maybe 8-10 psi of boost. I figure that's safe and shouldn't be too expensive.. Is that safe? Can I just do that? Or do I have to go but other stinger parts? I do have low milage....

And it's 2wd if that makes a difference...

Your gonna have to spend money either on a Paxton or Vortech setup. You have a NPI 5.4 so a eaton setup from a Lightning will not work.
