97 4.6L Starting issue
I have run into a starting issue. I have just bought my 97 F150 super cab 4x2 at the end of august. My truck worked great for 2 weeks then it wouldn't start. Just one turn and that's it. So tried to get it boosted. Didn't help. So tried a tow truck to boost it, and it turned super slow. The cables were getting warm/hot so we towed it back to my place.
It has sat here ever since. Changed the firewall relay and the starter. The cables look good but i wire brushed them just in case. Connected the starter how my manual showed me and still a click. no turn this time. What could be wrong and how could i get it going again? Thank you.

That is true. But it still goes that if you have a no start the battery is the first place to look. If the battery is known good then I would cross starter relay to see I get to crank. If no go there then I would check starter connections and then pull starter. Just my opinion.

Found out the problem. My engine wouldn't crank because my belt tensioner was done and my AC compressor went. I don't need AC so I will just inspect my belt, get a tensioner and an AC bypass pully. Way cheaper then for a new compressor. Over 500 bucks here at the part store vs 180 for the pully, tensioner and if I need, gatorback belt.
