sweet. ordered. any idea where would be a good place to hook it into? I would want it to come on when I turn on the headlights/dashlights. Also would regular speaker wire work for the space inbetween where I dont want lights? Id like to run a single wire with pos and neg wires and not 2 seperate ones.

The wire for that, same as aftermarket gauges is the blue w/ red tracer wire behind the headlight switch, you can dim them like the factory cluster

It is a special setup, there's writeups for switching a 97-98 headlight switch to LED, it's the exact same procedure for the 4x4 switch. Takes a LED and resistor.

So i ordered some LED's for my interior today thinking that since my driver's side courtesy light was burnt out, might as well replace them all. The passenger side light works but when i took off the drivers side lens to my surprise, there was nothing there, Hahaha. Does this mean the harness and light is behind the door panel? And my second question is how hard is it to remove the door panel on an XLT?

^ it's real simple, takes maybe a minute.

Pop off B-pillar and remove screw
Pop off door handle surround and remove screw
Pop off door switch panel and unplug switches
Lift up on the panel and it comes right off
