Default 97-03 Bucket Seats--power

I was told bucket seats with manual controls were not available these years. I haven't been able to verify this anywhere. Does anyone know it that's true or not?

I was also told that the power for powered seats isn't in the cab unless the truck came with the option of powered seats. Can anyone verify this? I've been surprised by how many options are wired whether installed or not. Thanks.

Thanks. I also put my question up in another thread but didn't want to jump on someone else's question so I posted this. Anyway I was told the same from a few others.

I have a 99 xl no power anthing. I added expy seats with power drivers side. The fuse and realy where already installed in the fuse box under the hood. The wire for the seat is behind the pass kick pannel. It is a 2pole plug has black wire on bouth sides of the pluge and a green wire on one side. The green wire is all you need

All trucks are equipped with accessories. But there those that require programming to function.

I put cruise control in my truck requiring programming. I also have Ford's top of the line radio that was pulled from a same year explorer. It will require programming if I put it in but all the plugs for it were in blank molded spaces in the back of my AM\FM only radio.

One of the first questions I posted on here was if anyone knew where I could find all the options available in 98 and if anyone knew what options are prewired and which aren't. I didn't hear a thing from anybody and finally someone told me it wasn't an appropriate question for General Discussion. I never bothered posting the question here in 97-03.

I've missed out on the truck now anyway. I was thinking of swapping with my truck whatever I wanted, and then reselling. Snooze ya loose. thanks for the info

Yeah they did. The 03 heritage edition I owned had powered buckets.
