Default 90k service

sooo i am kinda pissed i just took my truck in for its 90k tune up and i was expecting to pay 250-350...and i had a $30 off coupon for any thing over 250..

i had a transmission fluid exchange and new filter, fuel filter, and my brake fluid got flushed...it cost me $491.00!! now i think that is way to much...just for the transmission fluid exchange it was 273.54 that included the fluid and filter and labor..i wanna go back up their and argue the charge but then i figure if i go up there i will just be preaching to the choir..if i wanted to spend so much i would of gone to the Ford dealer.

sounds like you paid more than a dealer would. tranny flush quotes i've gotten in pricey so cal were maxed at $200.

is there some sort of law that they have to give you an written estimate before you agree to proceed? i know in CA there is.

yea they gave me just the total price...b4 they started i just thought majority of it was the hourly labor charge then when i got the print out on what cost what after i paid and i saw 93 for a transmission filter i asked them why so much and they said bc they have to do more labor then a normal trans flush when they do a fluid exchange bc they have to drop the pan...anyways im not going back there anymore...only reason i went there in the first place is they gave me 4 months to pay off $491 with no interest...i guess u win some u lose some

Their line is complete BS. Pans have had to be dropped for 40 years that I know of. Sorry Buddy, your wallet had sex with the jerk.

Just got my tranny serviced at the Ford Dealership I bought it from because i was loosing overdrive. Ended up being a snap ring in the servo piston and it cost me $344.50 for the labor, parts and fluid change. Sounds like you may have been screwed man, but idk how long it takes for a fuel filter and brake fluid change, I know it feels like the stealerships rip you off but ALL they do is work on fords, so it may be worth it in the long run...
